One of the loveliest sites in Israel. The canyon is located on the 18th kilometer of Route 12, northwest of Eilat.

The canyon was formed from red Nubian sandstone, hence its name. The canyon creates various colorful visual effects depending on the time of day and serves as a photography setting allowing for diverse results. The canyon is 200 meters long and approximately thirty meters deep in some places, and its width varies along its length. Descent into the canyon is by ladders. Vegetation in the canyon is relatively sparse, its sides are "smeared" with red stripes in varying hues and it provides an infinite number of photography frames.
