Shahar Cohen is considered one of the top nature photographers in Israel for the past 32 years.

"I often find myself shedding a tear at the sight of a good photo," Shahar notes in one of the articles written about him. He has also served as CEO of the College of Photography in Kiryat Ono in the past 20 years. His brilliant explanations on subjects of photography enthrall his audience at all the workshops he teaches in the field.

Shahar Cohen's major specialization is in photographing nature in the Land of Israel, for which he was awarded the "Society for the Protection of Nature" Award. In his lectures, Shahar goes into instructive detail on photography techniques that can bring out the best photo even in a beginner, all the more so in more professional photographers.

As part of his participation in the "Planet Arava" Festival, Shahar will teach a workshop on star photography, which is his area of expertise and among the leading areas in the field of astronomy. A highly fascinating lecture!
